On the deployant clasps for Breitling bracelets, I have had to adjust at least 1 out of 5 to ensure proper closure/release. Best I’ve seen is Breitling Aerospace, but Tudor Pelagos is close. Halios is also pretty good, but chunky clasp. Correct, Breitling does not have the ratchet quick adjust clasp on this bracelet model, just has the micro adjust holes in clasp. Their rubber/deployant clasp does have the ratchet quick adjust clasp - one of the best in the business IMO. I've been wanting to try the Formex myself, but not sure how big it will feel.
The small adjustment on Breitling clasps is just one increment less than a full link anyway, so having more adjustment holes won't gain anything. IMO Breitling's small adjustment options are as good as any in terms of being able to fine tune a metal bracelet which, by it's very nature, is very inflexible. The Rouleaux bracelet is also very nice, and definitely well made, but I must be honest the butterfly clasp and that lack of fine adjustment is a real issue for me. Yes it looks very seamless and very true to the original design, but I'd personally happily forgo that little nod to history for a bit of micro-adjustment and a sports clasp.
