Good news is IWC can still service it/check for water resistance, and the 7750 movement is a very durable and serviceable movement. I used to consider getting an older version with tritium markers, but found the 43mm Pilot chronograph from 2018 that looks like it. I decided on the 3717 due to the larger case size (42mm vs 39), as well as the fact that it's slightly slimmer that the 3706, sitting at 14.5mm rather than 14.8. I'm very happy with it. It's gorgeous and just what I wanted.
